Machine learning models predict in real time the onset of harmful microbubble collapse during microbubble‐enhanced focused ultrasound (MB‐FUS) and enable dynamic adjustment of sonication to prevent cavitation‐induced damage. This predictive control expands the safe operating window for bloodbrain barrier opening, enhancing nanoparticle delivery and ...

The Life-Cycle Personal Accounts Proposal for Social Security: A Review [PDF]
The life-cycle accounts proposal for Social Security reform has been justified by its proponents using a number of different arguments, but these arguments generally involve the assumption of a high likelihood of good returns on the accounts.

This study shows that amyloid fibrils form nematic condensates via liquid–liquid crystalline phase separation (LLCPS). With increasing pH, this transition shifts toward disordered condensates formed through liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS), in which birefringence with lack of a coherent nematic field symmetry originates from enthalpic fibril ...

Catching Up with the Joneses: Heterogeneous Preferences and the Dynamics of Asset Prices [PDF]
We analyze a general equilibrium exchange economy with a continuum of agents who have 'catching up with the Joneses' preferences and differ only with respect to the curvature of their utility functions. While individual risk aversion does not change over

Cross‐Platform Biosensing of Immune Receptors Using Peptide‐Functionalized Graphene
A peptide‐functionalized graphene biosensor enables sensitive and selective detection of living immune cells. Targeting Formyl‐Peptide Receptor 2 (FPR2), the assay is demonstrated on model cells and primary human neutrophils. The same assay is applied to two complementary platforms: graphene‐enhanced surface plasmon resonance for optical benchmarking ...

Oil Price Shocks and Stock Return Predictability [PDF]
Recent research has documented that oil price changes lead the aggregate market in most industrialized countries, and has argued that it represents an anomaly - an underreaction to information that investors can profit from.

The results showed that the reduction of plasma 24‐hydroxycholesterol (24‐OHC) was related to the cognitive decline in elderly surgical patients. Neuroinflammation induced by anesthesia and surgery significantly downregulated SREBP2 in hippocampal reactive astrocytes, resulting in reduced cholesterol synthesis.

It Pays to Be Green: A Hedonic Stock Price Model for Environmentally Friendly Large U.S. Firms [PDF]
This study attempts to estimate the non-market value of the environmental performance of a firm using a stock price model derived from Rosen’s hedonic price theory.

A femtosecond UV pump–probe microscope resolves binding‐induced changes in protein excited‐state dynamics and converts these intrinsic contrasts into an equilibrium affinity readout. By probing tryptophan responses directly in solution, the approach enables quantitative determination of dissociation constants without labeling or immobilization ...
