This study demonstrates that cartilage‐specific chondrocyte depletion after 4‐OHT‐induced DTA expression leads to adaptive but nonpathological tissue remodeling in the articular cartilage. ABSTRACT Chondrocytes define and maintain tissue architecture in articular cartilage and are critical in regulating the microenvironment in both health and disease ...

The microstructural and morphological properties of homoepitaxial (001)ZnTe layers are investigated by x-ray diffuse scattering. High resolution reciprocal space maps recorded close to the ZnTe (004) Bragg peak show different diffuse scattering features.

Load adaptation indices and concepts. An adapted right ventricle in response to overload increases wall thickness to normalize wall stress and preserve function and morphology. If hemodynamic overload is sustained, it can progress to a maladaptive state and lead eventually to heart failure.

Oscillation of solutions of LDE's in domains conformally equivalent to unit disc
Oscillation of solutions of $f^{(k)} + a_{k-2} f^{(k-2)} + \dotsb + a_1 f' +a_0 f = 0$ is studied in domains conformally equivalent to the unit disc. The results are applied, for example, to Stolz angles, horodiscs, sectors and strips.

Correlations in intermediate-energy two-proton removal reactions
We report final-state-exclusive measurements of the light charged fragments in coincidence with 26Ne residual nuclei following the direct two-proton removal from a neutron-rich 28Mg secondary beam.

ABSTRACT The evolution of lakes in western Mongolia and their responses to climate changes and glacial meltwater input remain poorly understood. This study evaluates the reliability of multigrain and single‐grain K‐feldspar post‐infrared infrared stimulated luminescence (IRSL) (pIRIR) dating applied to palaeoshoreline sediments at Khyargas Nuur ...

Artificial Intelligence on Campus: Revisiting Understanding as an Aim of Higher Education
Abstract The launch of the powerful generative AI tool ChatGPT in November 2022 sparked a wave of fear across higher education. The tool could seemingly be used to write essays and do other work without students putting in the effort expected of them. In this paper, Jamie Herman and Henry Lara‐Steidel posit a way of addressing the concerns over ChatGPT

ABSTRACT Recent interest in Mg‐rich silicate formation stems from its role as a valuable palaeoclimatic indicator in fluvio‐lacustrine environments and its insights into metal geochemical cycling. Traditionally, Mg‐silicate genesis in lacustrine contexts is linked to alkaline or saline conditions in closed, evaporitic basins.

ABSTRACT Micritization of marine carbonate grains is an early diagenetic process involving the alteration of the original carbonate fabric and the formation of cryptocrystalline textures through cycles of dissolution and reprecipitation. Microorganisms play a significant role in this process, actively contributing to the formation of constructive and ...

An analytic invariant of G_2 manifolds
The first and third authors have constructed a defect invariant $\nu(M,\phi)$ in Z/48 for $G_2$-structures on a closed 7-manifold. We describe the nu-invariant using $\eta$-invariants and Mathai-Quillen currents on M and show that it can be refined to an
