Miniature Soft Robot With Magnetically Reprogrammable Surgical Functions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Miniature soft robots have great prospects to revolutionize minimally invasive treatments. Here we present a miniature soft robot, which can be reprogrammed to perform five surgical functionalities with six‐degrees‐of‐freedom motions. This soft robot can prospectively make minimally invasive surgery considerably safer and painless, and enable ...

Highly Entangled Bottlebrush Polymer Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bottlebrush polymers are difficult to entangle, enabling ultrasoft yet brittle networks. We report highly entangled bottlebrush elastomers that remain ultrasoft (∼1 kPa) yet stretch to ∼1800% and exhibit exceptional fatigue resistance. Their intrinsic fatigue strength—fatigue threshold normalized by modulus—surpasses that of highly entangled linear ...

A Geometrically Transient Platform for Bioelectronic Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Minimally invasive bioelectronic implants often compromise performance for smaller sizes. To resolve this optimization dilemma, a wireless bioelectronic implant with a transient geometry is introduced (MiFi). The origami‐inspired device miniaturizes up to sixfold for syringe insertion and autonomously unfolds post‐implantation.

Fluorinated Deep Eutectic Gel Electrolytes with Simultaneously Enhanced Mechanical Strength and Ionic Conductivity for Solid‐State Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The synergistic integration of rigid polyacrylamide (PAM) and flexible poly(N,N‐dimethylacrylamide) (PDMA) phases offers exceptional toughness to suppress lithium dendrites, simultaneously enhancing mechanical strength and ionic conductivity. ABSTRACT Gel polymer electrolytes for lithium‐metal batteries face an inherent trade‐off between mechanical ...

Ti3C2Tx MXene/Silver Composite Foams For Lightweight, High‐Performance Electromagnetic Interference Shielding and Joule Heating

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ultrathin MXene/EMF composite foams achieve a specific shielding efficiency of 749.6 dB.dB·cm3$\mathrm{dB}\cdot {\mathrm{cm}}^{3}$/g, while the silver‐enhanced MXene/Ag/EMF reaches 81.4 dB shielding effectiveness at just 1.0 mm thickness. Both composites exhibit rapid Joule heating, retain stability up to 250∘C$^\circ{\rm C}$, and withstand 1000 ...
