Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Stomatal behavior of cowpea genotypes grown under varying moisture levels [PDF]
Drought is a major limitation to crop productivity worldwide. Plants lose most of their water through stomata, thus making stomata an important organ in the control of transpiration and photosynthesis.

THE STOMATA AND TRANSPIRATION OF OAKS [PDF]
Stomata and transpiration are of fundamental importance in the water relations of plants. It is evident that the loss of moisture in transpiration is equally as important as absorption of water by the root system in plant survival. Our mesophytic plants must have stomatal protection against excessive loss of moisture during drought.

Trophic Diversity in Duckweed: Mixotrophy, More Than the Sum of its Extremes
In the context of rising DOC in aquatic environments, mixotrophic duckweed may impact carbon cycling by acting as either a carbon sink, as they absorb CO2 through photosynthesis, or a carbon source, as they release CO2 through respiration of absorbed DOC, which depends on DOC concentration, light availability, temperature, and other environmental ...

Recognition of different stomata types of Tilia spp. in hyrcanian forests
This research was done to recognize different stomata types and to determine its position in comparison with epidermal cells in the genus Tilia. The results showed that the length, width and area of stomata had significant differences in the studied ...

ABSTRACT Background Robot‐assisted rectal surgery (RAS) offers improved dexterity and visualization; however, the high cost of equipment and consumables remains a major challenge for hospital management. At our institution, we have adopted a combined approach using transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) for lower rectal cancers, aiming to shorten ...

Stomata morphological traits in two different genotypes of Populus nigra L.
Populus nigra L. (black poplar) possesses amphistomatic leaves, with large (giant) and normal sized stomata. The role of giant stomata in leaf development, and the consequences on stomatal density in adult leaves remains elusive. This paper describes the
