A DNA barcode library for ground beetles of Germany: the genus Pterostichus Bonelli, 1810 and allied taxa (Insecta, Coleoptera, Carabidae) [PDF]

open access: yesZooKeys, 2020
Species of the ground beetle genus Pterostichus Bonelli, 1810 are some of the most common carabids in Europe. This publication provides a first comprehensive DNA barcode library for this genus and allied taxa including Abax Bonelli, 1810, Molops Bonelli,

Effects of natural and seminatural elements on the composition and dispersion of carabid beetles inhabiting an agroecosystem in Northern Italy. [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol, 2021
Being the Po Valley one of the most human‐dominated and intensively cultivated landscapes in Europe, we investigated the effect of no‐crop habitats on carabid richness and composition and evaluated the role of tree row as corridor for forest carabid dispersion.

Do Specific Craniomaxillofacial Features Correlate with Psychological Distress in Adult Pretreatment Orthodontic Patients? A Cephalometric Study

open access: yesDisease Markers, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Purpose. To explore the relationship between craniomaxillofacial features and psychological distress among adult pretreatment orthodontic patients. Methods. A group of 190 patients (95 males and 95 females) was included. Questionnaires including the Kessler psychological distress scale (K10) were sent to patients, and cephalograms were collected ...

Surface temperature and shrub cover drive ground beetle (Coleoptera: Carabidae) assemblages in short‐rotation coppices

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 23, Issue 4, Page 400-410, November 2021., 2021
Short‐rotation coppices shift carabid communities towards forest species assemblages, while decreasing species numbers and abundances of open habitat species. This leads to a decline in gamma diversity. We identified shrub cover and temperature as main environmental drivers for changes in species numbers, abundances and rarefied richness.

Automatic Analysis of Lateral Cephalograms Based on Multiresolution Decision Tree Regression Voting

open access: yesJournal of Healthcare Engineering, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
Cephalometric analysis is a standard tool for assessment and prediction of craniofacial growth, orthodontic diagnosis, and oral‐maxillofacial treatment planning. The aim of this study is to develop a fully automatic system of cephalometric analysis, including cephalometric landmark detection and cephalometric measurement in lateral cephalograms for ...

To the development of a new educational science identity in Central and Eastern Europe and their implementation in pedagogical practice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013

Can mixed stands of native and non-native tree species enhance diversity of epigaeic arthropods in plantation forests? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In regions with low cover of natural forests and high cover of plantations predominately comprised of non-native species, inclusion of a native tree species with a more productive non-native species has the potential to enhance biodiversity and meet ...
