Transcripts enriched in codons that trigger P‐site tRNA‐mediated mRNA decay possess stable mRNA
PTMD codons were first described by Mendel et al. as mediators of an mRNA decay pathway dependent on the human protein CNOT3, homologous to yeast Not5. Our findings confirm that PTMD codons destabilize transcripts; however, unlike in yeast, the human pathway specifically targets and slightly destabilizes primarily stable mRNAs.

An optimal stopping problem in a diffusion-type model with delay [PDF]
We present an explicit solution to an optimal stopping problem in a model described by a stochastic delay differential equation with an exponential delay measure. The method of proof is based on reducing the initial problem to a free-boundary problem and

Analyzing busway station potential capacity under mixed stopping and non-stopping operation [PDF]
Busway stations are the interface between passengers and services. The station is crucial to line operation as it is typically the only location where buses can pass each other.

The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

On the value of a stopped set function process
AbstractFor certain types of stochastic processes {Xn | n ∈ N}, which are integrable and adapted to a nondecreasing sequence of σ-algebras Fn on a probability space (Ω, F, P), several authors have studied the following problems: IfSdenotes the class of all stopping times for the stochastic basis {Fn | n ∈ N}, when issups ∫Ω | Xσ | dP finite, and when ...

Optimal Stopping with Dynamic Variational Preferences [PDF]
We consider optimal stopping problems in uncertain environments for an agent assessing utility by virtue of dynamic variational preferences or, equivalently, assessing risk by dynamic convex risk measures.
