Penetration points on walls must include firestop measures to prevent the spread of fire. Countries worldwide have established standardized testing protocols for firestop methods, and firestop products must pass relevant tests before they can be used in ...

An Iterative Technique for the Synthesis of Active Antenna Oscillator Arrays
A design procedure for the synthesis of a coupled active antenna oscillator array is presented. Such an array is synthesized by deriving two sets of parameters: the radiators' positions and the oscillators' outputs.

Transcripts enriched in codons that trigger P‐site tRNA‐mediated mRNA decay possess stable mRNA
PTMD codons were first described by Mendel et al. as mediators of an mRNA decay pathway dependent on the human protein CNOT3, homologous to yeast Not5. Our findings confirm that PTMD codons destabilize transcripts; however, unlike in yeast, the human pathway specifically targets and slightly destabilizes primarily stable mRNAs.

ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Optimal stopping under model uncertainty in a general setting
We consider the optimal stopping time problem under model uncertainty $R(v)= {\text{ess}\sup\limits}_{ \mathbb{P} \in \mathcal{P}} {\text{ess}\sup\limits}_{τ\in \mathcal{S}_v} E^\mathbb{P}[Y(τ) \vert \mathcal{F}_v]$, for every stopping time $v$, set in the framework of families of random variables indexed by stopping times. This setting is more general

ABSTRACT Background Accessing brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be challenging, especially for underserved patients, which may lead to disparities in neurological diagnosis. Method This mixed‐methods study enrolled adults with one of four neurological disorders: mild cognitive impairment or dementia of the Alzheimer type, multiple sclerosis ...

An Approach to Stopping Problems of a Dynamic Fuzzy System [PDF]
A stopping problem for a dynamic fuzzy system with fuzzy rewards is formulated, which is thought of as a natural fuzzification of non-fuzzy stopping problem for a determistic dynamic system. And, the validity of the approach by ff-cuts of fuzzy sets will
