Recommendation on the use of protective eyewear in endourological laser procedures

Objectives This work examines the current evidence available regarding the risks of eye injury in endourology laser environments with the aim of providing a consensus recommendation on the appropriate use of protective eyewear. Evaluating use of extant species response to invasive predator control as an indicator of functional eradication to support species reintroductions

The removal of brown treesnakes resulted in an increase in the number of lizards already present that were counted in a treated area. We used this increase as a trigger to reintroduce three lizard species no longer present in the area, likely due to predation by the snake. Hunting for Hollanders: The community responsibility system, trade sanctions, and public debt in the late‐medieval Low Countries

Abstract To persuade creditors to lend, cities in the Low Countries relied on a community responsibility system that made all citizens personally liable for public debt. This exposed itinerant citizens to significant risks: their merchandise could be confiscated by creditors, and they could even be imprisoned for debt.
