In Situ Profiling of Nanoscale Strains Uncovers Mechano‐Architectural Predictors of Aging and Osteoarthritis Emergence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In situ mechanical loading of osteoarthritis‐prone murine knee joints reveals that spatial alterations in subchondral plate microarchitecture precede cartilage loss and promote a shift from coordinated epiphyseal strain dissipation in healthy joints to focal subchondral strain concentration in osteoarthritis‐prone joints.

Integration of Reconfigurable p‐Bit and 1R Crossbar Array for Memristive Probabilistic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A memristive probabilistic computing system is demonstrated by integrating stochastic p‐bits based on volatile memristors with a 1R crossbar array encoding interaction weights. The system performs weighted‐sum operations across the array and updates p‐bits iteratively.

Aberrant GRP78 Phase Transition Sustains Endothelial IRE1α Signaling and Drives Blood–Brain Barrier Failure in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vascular Aβ40 corrupts GRP78 phase behavior in brain endothelial cells, sustaining IRE1α–TRAF2–JNK signaling and driving apoptosis, tight junction loss, and blood–brain barrier failure in cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Pharmacological IRE1α inhibition restores vascular integrity, reduces leakage, and improves functional outcomes, revealing a targetable ...

Single‐Atom‐Enhanced Fully Inkjet‐Printed Electrochemical Sensor for Dopamine Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fully inkjet‐printed paper‐based dopamine sensors are fabricated using nitrogen‐doped graphene acid functionalized with copper single atoms. The copper sites uniquely enhance dopamine oxidation through strong molecular adsorption, as verified by electrochemical measurements and DFT calculations. The approach highlights the potential of single‐atom inks

Stochastic Entanglement of Deterministic Origami Tentacles For Robust Robotic Grasping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces an origami tentacle gripper to robustly grasp objects‐in air, underwater, and even in orbital space‐by exploiting a synergy between local, deterministic deformation programming and global, stochastic entanglements. A single origami tentacle can be designed to coil with a simple tendon pull.
