Implementation of the Chebyshev structure with minimum storage
IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1989The Chebyshev structure, which is one of the implementation techniques for the McClellan transform, has good efficiency and a good roundoff noise. Its drawback is the increase of the required storage space. A method is presented to reduce the storage needed for the Chebyshev structure, and an efficient systolic cell with minimum storage is obtained ...

Structural Changes Accompanying Memory Storage
Annual Review of Physiology, 1993Perhaps the most striking finding in the biology of memory is that long-term memory involves structural changes. A variety of memory processes ranging in complexity from those produced by elementary forms of nonassociative learning in invertebrates to those produced by higher order associative tasks in mammals are accompanied by alterations in the ...

In this chapter we cover topics concerning the physical organisation of an Oracle database. Indexes and clusters are an important means of improving retrieval operations on a database. In the section on storage structures we see how Oracle stores data on the disk (or other physical device). We will see however that a trade-off between effective storage

A storage structure for Nested Relational Databases
1989We propose a storage structure for hierarchical structures in Nested Relational Databases. In particular, we define a combination of two data structures: a record-list structure and a tree storing all the atomic values present in the tuples and sub-tuples of the database.
