Strain-energy density ratio criterion for failure of composite-materials
n the authors' previous paper, the Strain Energy Density Ratio (SEDR) criterion was proposed. As an example of applications, it was used to predict cracking direction of mixed-mode fracture in a random short fibre laminated composite.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

A Total Strain Energy Density Theory for Cumulative Fatigue Damage
A unified theory based on the cyclic strain energy density criterion is presented first. It is shown that the fatigue failure in both low and high-cycle regimes, and cumulative damage and loading sequence, can all be expressed in terms of a single damage

Biomechanical Analysis of Implant Treatment for Fully Edentulous Maxillas
Three-dimensional maxillary bone models of a male and a female patient were constructed using their CT-images. The distributions of Young's modulus were estimated from their bone mineral density distributions.

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Elastic theory of nanomaterials based on surface-energy density
Recent investigations into surface-energy density of nanomaterials lead to a ripe chance to propose, within the framework of continuum mechanics, a new theory for nanomaterials based on surface-energy density.

The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...
