First confirmed record of a fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus) in the north coast of Cuba
Revista de Investigaciones Marinas, 2022 The finding of a fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus) on the coast of Cayo Francés, Sabana- Camagüey archipelago, is presented. This stranding is the first record for the species in the northern coast of Cuba, and the second documented in the country.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases.
