Physics of Strange Matter

open access: yes, 1998
The properties of strange quark matter and strange hadronic matter and their finite counterparts (strangelets and MEMOs) are reviewed. The production of strange matter in heavy-ion collision and the appearance of strange matter in neutron stars are discussed.

Atomic‐Scale Epitaxy for Tailoring Crystalline GeSbTe Alloys Into Bidimensional Phases

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This Study Shows How Molecular Beam Epitaxy Can Precisely Control the Growth of Ge–Sb–Te Alloys By Tuning Temperature and Elemental Flux Ratio. A Predictive Growth Diagram is established, Linking Structural Ordering to Electrical Transport, and Enabling Efficient, low‐power Switching in Memory Devices.

Defect‐Healed Au/rGO Coating for the Corrosion Protection of PEMFC Bipolar Plates

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A defect‐healed gold/reduced graphene oxide (Au/rGO) coating is presented for stainless steel bipolar plates in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells. Gold nanoparticles nucleate at graphene oxide defects, blocking corrosive ion penetration and enhancing corrosion resistance, thereby ensuring durable fuel cell operation.

Direct Ink Writing 3D Printing of Recyclable and Thermally Stable Vitrimers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Vitrimers hold great promise in additive manufacturing as defect‐insensitive, repairable, and recyclable feedstocks. A thin‐film additively manufactured process is developed for a high‐performance vitrimer that is difficult to process traditionally.

Tailoring Optical and Vibrational Properties by Bond Confinement: The Case of Metavalent Chalcogenide and Pnictogen Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective explores how intrinsic confinement effects in metavalent chalcogenide and pnictogen thin films alter optical and vibrational properties. By comparing thickness‐dependent effects across prototypical systems, this work highlights the role of unconventional bonding in shaping coherent phonon dynamics and dielectric functions, offering new
