Strange-Matter Stars

open access: yes, 1994
This paper gives an overview of the properties of all possible equilibrium sequences of compact strange-matter stars with nuclear crusts, which range from strange stars to strange dwarfs. In contrast to their non-strange counterparts--neutron stars and white dwarfs--their properties are determined by two (rather than one) parameters, the central star ...

Classification of Myelodysplastic, Myeloproliferative, and Myelodysplastic/Myeloproliferative Neoplasms: The Past, Present, and Future

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With the recent publication of new classification systems of hematopoietic neoplasms, understanding how recognition of disease entities has occurred over time and the subsequent development of formal disease classifications is of importance. This review focuses on the early recognition of myeloid disorders, especially chronic myeloid disorders,

Bimodal Ionic Conduction through Polymer Films due to Nano Confinement

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This minireview revisits the phenomenon of nano‐confined ion conduction through polymer films. Ions diffuse through polymer films in two distinct modes depending on the nano‐structure and free space for the passage of hydrated or partially hydrated ions.

Considering the animating ethos of designing digital first unemployment services: On the motivation of others

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper explores the animating ethos of digital unemployment services. Unlike human‐to‐human services, where the intention of policy is normally mediated by professionals, digital services are fully designed in the policy imagination. As a result, it is a pressing issue to understand the ethos that animates their development.

Au(I)‐, Au(II)‐, Au(III)‐Fluoride Complexes: Synthesis and Applications in Organic Transformations

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In this review, the synthesis and reactivity of organometallic gold‐fluoride complexes in oxidation states of Au(I), Au(II), and Au(III) are summarised. A widespread interest in C−C and C−F coupling reactions has resulted in several developments of these complexes with a range of supporting ligands, which has enabled their reactivity to be studied ...

Digital transformation of public employment services in the post‐pandemic era. Evidence from Italy as a latecomer country

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
Abstract The Next Generation EU (NGEU) economic recovery package has set the conditions for unprecedented investment in policy areas considered of strategic importance by each Member State. This article focusses on the Italian case, characterised by long‐lasting weaknesses in active labour market policies and public employment services (PES) to analyse

Assembly of Functionalized Organic Fragments via Reductive Activation and (Cross)‐Coupling of C2H4, CO, CO2 and/or H2 Using a Magnesium‐Dinitrogen Complex

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A dimagnesium/dipotassium complex of N2 acts as a “masked” source of a dimagnesium(I) diradical in formal reductive coupling and cross‐coupling reactions involving various combinations of the simple gaseous small molecules, C2H4, CO, CO2, and H2. A range of more complex “value‐added” organic fragments have been accessed from these processes.
