The Quest for the Quark‐Gluon Plasma From the Perspective of Dynamical Models of Relativistic Heavy‐Ion Collisions

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The physics of heavy‐ion collisions is one of the most exciting and challenging directions of science for the last four decades. On the theoretical side one deals with a non‐abelian field theory, while on the experimental side today's largest accelerators are needed to enable these studies.

Age‐Related Trajectories of Autistic Traits in Children With Angelman Syndrome

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Angelman syndrome (AS) is a rare neurogenetic disorder. Previous studies indicate a high prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with considerable variability. Little is known regarding the longitudinal trajectory of autistic traits. We aim to investigate autistic traits, the effect of age on these traits, and associated features in AS ...

Stable Long‐Term Cycling of Room‐Temperature Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries Based on Non‐Complex Sulfurised Polyacrylonitrile Cathodes

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Sulfurised polyacrylonitrile (SPAN) has been synthesized using a simple and scalable method, achieving a high sulfur content covalently linked to its framework. The development of SPAN cathodes demonstrates significant improvements in combating capacity fading and the shuttle effect in sodium‐sulfur (Na−S) batteries.

Aging Behavior Beyond SOH 80: An Experimental Aging Study on Commercial Lithium–Ion Batteries with Different Cathode Materials: Capacity Loss, Resistance Change and Impedance Modeling

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Commercial cells made of four different cathode materials are studied for two modes of degradation and subsequently characterized with three different diagnostic techniques during and after aging, leading to a total of more than 200 cells analyzed for this study. Thus, this study reveals aging effects for lithium–ion batteries beyond state of health of
