Quark stars with 2.6 $$M_\odot $$ M ⊙ in a non-minimal geometry-matter coupling theory of gravity
This work analyses the hydrostatic equilibrium configurations of strange stars in a non-minimal geometry-matter coupling (GMC) theory of gravity. Those stars are made of strange quark matter, whose distribution is governed by the MIT equation of state ...

Cylindrically Symmetric Diffusion Model for Relativistic Heavy‐Ion Collisions
To account for particle production in relativistic heavy‐ion collisions at the Large Hadron Collider, a relativistic diffusion model with cylindrical symmetry is derived from nonequilibrium–statistical considerations. It propagates an initial state based on quantum chromodynamics in time toward a thermal equilibrium limit.

Are rotating strange quark stars good sources of gravitational waves?
We study the viscosity driven (Jacobi-like) bar mode instability of rapidly rotating strange stars in general relativity. A triaxial, "bar shaped" compact star could be an efficient source of continuous wave gravitational radiation in the frequency range

Consumer acceptance of microalgae as a novel food ‐ Where are we now? And how to get further
Abstract Microalgae provide a potential new food resource for sustainable human nutrition. Many microalgae species can produce a high content of total protein with a balanced composition of essential amino acids, healthy oils rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids, fibers, and vitamins.

Strangeness at high temperatures [PDF]
We use up to fourth order cumulants of net strangeness fluctuations and their correlations with net baryon number fluctuations to extract information on the strange meson and baryon contribution to the low temperature hadron resonance gas, the dissolution of strange hadronic states in the crossover region of the QCD transition and the quasi-particle ...

This article describes the configuration of strange quark stars composed of three flavour quarks in hydrostatic equilibrium considering the energy density profile of Mak and Harko and non-zero strange quark mass ( $$m_s\ne {0}$$ m s ≠ 0 ).

The second most abundant dinophyte in the ponds of a botanical garden is a species new to science
Abstract In the microscopy realm, a large body of dark biodiversity still awaits to be uncovered. Unarmoured dinophytes are particularly neglected here, as they only present inconspicuous traits. In a remote German locality, we collected cells, from which a monoclonal strain was established, to study morphology using light and electron microscopy and ...

RIGIDLY ROTATING STRANGE QUARK STARS
In this article, we study rotating strange quark stars in the context of general relativity. For this purpose we consider perfect fluid model composed of strange quark matter with electromagnetic field in the Gödel Universe which has rigid rotation. We solve Einstein's field equations by using equation of state for strange quark matter.

Nucleon sigma term and strange quark content in 2+1-flavor QCD with dynamical overlap fermions [PDF]
We study the sigma term and the strange quark content of nucleon in 2+1-flavor QCD with dynamical overlap fermions. We analyze the lattice data of nucleon mass taken at two different strange quark masses with five values of up and down quark masses each.

Strangeness and Quark--Gluon Plasma [PDF]
I review the foundational motivation which led us to the ultra relativistic heavy ion collision research at SPS, RHIC and now LHC: the quantum vacuum structure; the deconfined nature of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) phase filling the Universe for the first 30$ $s after the big-bang; the origin of stable matter mass; and of the origin of flavor. The special
