Strangeness in Quark Matter (SQM2009)
Journal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics, 2010The 14th International Conference on Strangeness in Quark Matter (SQM2009) was held in Brazil from 27 September to 2 October 2009 at Hotel Atlântico, Buzios, Rio de Janeiro. The conference was jointly organized by Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Fisicas, Universidade de Sao Paulo,

PRIMORDIAL STRANGE QUARK MATTER
International Journal of Modern Physics E, 2011Strange quark nuggets (SQNs) could be the relics of the cosmological QCD phase transition, and they could very likely be the candidate of cold dark matter if survived the cooling of the later Universe, although the formation and evolution of these SQNs depend on the physical state of the hot QGP (quark-gluon plasma) phase and the state of cold quark ...

Strange Quark Matter as Dark Matter
Nonlinear Phenomena in Complex Systems, 2019New forms of matter such as super-hypernuclei (strange quark matter) and superhypernuclear stars (strange quark stars) as candidates for dark matter are discussed in some detail, based on the so-called "Bodmer–Terazawa–Witten hypothesis" assuming that they are stable absolutely or quasi-stable (decaying only weakly).

Nuclear-matter—quark-matter phase diagram with strangeness
Physical Review D, 1989A phenomenological equation of state of strongly interacting matter, including strange degrees of freedom, is presented. It is shown that the hyperon and kaon interactions must be included, in order to obtain a reasonable description of the deconfinement transition at high baryon densities.

Quark and nuclear matter with strangeness
Nuclear Physics A, 1991Abstract Nuclear matter with strangeness has been extensively studied as hypernuclei in conjunction with quark degrees of freedom in the nucleus. The present status of our knowledge of hypernuclei is reviewed from an experimental point of view. Especially, the existence of the H dibaryon is related to the ground state of nuclear matter with S = -2 ...

THE BEHAVIOR OF THE STRANGE QUARK MATTER IN THE FRW UNIVERSES
International Journal of Modern Physics A, 2007In this paper, we study strange quark matter for Friedman–Robertson–Walker (FRW) universes in the context of general relativity. For this purpose we consider quark–gluon plasma as a perfect fluid in the FRW universes. After solving Einstein's field equations, we have analyzed this matter for the different types of universe.

The physics of strange quark matter (SQM) searches is reviewed. Theoretical considerations about the creation and stability of SQM are summarized. Experimental techniques looking for the existence of SQM covering the observation of cosmological signals and cosmic radiation are discussed and examples of investigating rock samples and other terrestrial ...

Search for strange quark matter
Nuclear Physics A, 2000Abstract We present results of a search for charged and neutral strangelets produced on collisions of 11.6 A GeV/c Au beams with Pt or Pb targets. Yields of light nuclei and hypernuclei produced by coalescence were measured. Penalty factors were measured for the addition to a fragment of a nucleon or strange hadron. These are useful in planning

Search for strange quark matter
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1998We present the results of a search for strange quark matter from central 11.6 A GeV/c Au+Pb collisions in experiment E864 at the BNL-AGS. Nearly 6 billion central interactions have been sampled during the 1995 run search for positively and negatively charged, as well as neutral strangelets. The search was conducted with a high mass trigger system.
