Pretreatment of keratinocytes with Galactomyces ferment filtrate (GFF) promotes stress resiliency in an in vitro oxidative stress model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
GFF pretreatment enhances keratinocyte protection against oxidative stress by mitigating stress‐induced biomolecular changes and gene expression dysregulation. GFF‐pretreated keratinocytes maintain healthy epidermal biology post‐stress, preserving mitochondrial function and proliferative capacity.

Diving Into Language Teacher Beliefs: Experience and Contexts in Plurilingual Classrooms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the pedagogical beliefs of French and English language teachers in a diverse, plurilingual context. Drawing on data from 57 pre‐service and in‐service teachers, it examines how beliefs vary according to teaching experience and target language (TL) taught in diverse educational settings.

Developing Chatbot Pragmatics Through Prompting Instruction in AI‐Assisted Communicative Practice

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This quasi‐experimental study examines the impact of short‐term prompting instruction on the communicative performance of Czech learners of English in human–chatbot interaction, conceptualizing their prompting behavior as a context‐specific manifestation of pragmatic competence.

How Has France Established Itself as a Champion of the European Fight Against Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI)?

open access: yesJCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract The article contributes to the emerging scholarly literature on how European democracies respond to foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI), whilst focusing on a single case study of France. It asks how France responded to Russian FIMI and why this response has become more forceful and comprehensive over time.

Plant genetic and root‐associated microbial diversity modulate Lactuca sativa responsiveness to a soil inoculum under phosphate deficiency

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Leaf phosphate and shoot biomass variation in response to the microbial consortium. Summary Microbial‐based approaches offer a promising strategy to decrease the use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture. Among them, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), which extend root surface area and enhance phosphate uptake, and phosphate‐solubilizing bacteria ...

Still standing: persistence traits capture belowground plant functions beyond resource exploration and acquisition

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Conceptual linkages between traits and plant functioning leads to three dimensions of variation in the belowground functional space. Summary Belowground plant trait research has predominantly focused on trade‐offs in fine‐root traits via the root economics space (RES).
