Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

A Discrete Version of Stratified Morse Theory
Classical Morse theory connects the topology of a manifold with critical points of a Morse function. Stratified Morse theory considers the topology of a stratified space with critical points of a stratified Morse function.

Harmonic forms and cohomology of singular stratified spaces
We construct a potential theory for differential forms on compact stratified spaces, and we show that the space of harmonic forms of degree k is isomorphic to the singular cohomology of degree k.

Introduction : time and space in the neoliberal university [PDF]
Time and Space in the Neoliberal University offers new interdisciplinary analyses of borders, boundaries, blockages and im/mobilities in higher education, and how these might be identified, inhabited, resisted, and re-worked.

Machine Learning for Green Solvents: Assessment, Selection and Substitution
Environmental regulations have intensified demand for green solvents, but discovery is limited by Solvent Selection Guides (SSGs) that quantify solvent sustainability. Training a machine learning model on GlaxoSmithKline SSG, a database of sustainability metrics for 10,189 solvents, GreenSolventDB is developed. Integrated with Hansen solubility metrics,

3D Chromatin Architecture Provides Insights Into Leaf Trait Variation Among Pear Species
ABSTRACT Three‐dimensional (3D) chromatin architecture plays a fundamental role in eukaryotic gene regulations, its functional significance in perennial fruit trees remains poorly characterized despite extensive applications in crop genomics. Here, we developed high‐resolution (∼5 kb) Hi‐C maps of Pyrus and compared 3D genomic architecture of three ...

Stratified space learning:Reconstructing embedded graphs
Many data-rich industries are interested in the efficient discovery and modelling of structures under-lying large data sets, as it allows for the fast triage and dimension reduction of large volumes of data embedded in high dimensional spaces.

Lactate in cervical cancer induces HNRNPU K181 lactylation, opposed by NAA50‐mediated acetylation and suppressed by Pazopanib. This lactylation enhances HNRNPU binding to PHGDH pre‐mRNA exon 1, maintaining exon 1‐containing transcripts and mRNA stability, thereby activating serine metabolism.

Homotopy truncations of homotopically stratified spaces
Intersection homology of Goresky and MacPherson can be defined from the Deligne sheaf, obtained from truncations of complexes of sheaves. As intersection homology is not the homology of a particular space, the search for a family of spaces whose ...
