Dynamics and Microphysics in Marine Stratocumulus

2007
Abstract : The Dynamics and Microphysics in Marine Stratocumulus (DMIMS) project encompasses two distinct overarching goals: (1) Examination of the structure and forcing of a Coastally Trapped Wind Reversal (CTWR) and (2) Examination of the role of mesoscale organization in marine stratocumulus and the interplay between cloud-microphysical processes ...

Stratocumulus clouds in a changing climate

2015
The clouds that form in the atmospheric region close to the Earth surface work as a parasol for our planet. Their primary effect is to reflect the incoming solar radiation and in this way to cool the Earth. Tlie more extensive and the thicker they are, the more radiation is reflected back to space.
