Cyclists in shared bus lanes: could there be unrecognised impacts on bus journey times? [PDF]
This paper contributes to debates around improving the modelling of cycles, through an exploratory case study of bus–cycle interactions in London. This case study examines undocumented delays to buses caused by high volumes of cyclists in bus lanes.

Mapping bicycling exposure and safety risk using Strava Metro
Abstract Overcoming concerns about bicycling safety is critical to increasing the health benefits of bicycling for transportation. While exposure measures are critical for monitoring and understanding bike safety, lack of spatially and temporally detailed bike counts makes it challenging to conduct robust bicycling safety studies.

Three weeks of heat maintenance potentiates the benefits of heat acclimation in trained females
At‐home heat acclimation improves thermoneutral fitness and exercise performance in a hot environment in females. Heat maintenance further potentiates performance. Abstract We investigated whether heat adaptation (HA) could be maintained in trained females following an initial acclimation period.

Abstract We report agreement between the timing of slip on an active normal fault recovered from in situ 36Cl cosmogenic fault scarp dating with independently 14C dated Holocene coastal notches deformed along the strike of the fault, reinforcing the validity of slip‐rate timing and magnitude fluctuations implied by 36Cl fault scarp dating.

Feathers are useful in the study of glucocorticoid and thyroid hormones in Pyrenean Capercaillies. Samples from the Northern Pyrenees and Pre‐Pyrenees contained lower corticosterone concentrations, and a negative correlation was found between corticosterone levels and the distance from cycling trails.

Predicting trail condition using random forest models in urban-proximate nature reserves
Monitoring and managing the condition of recreational trails is a time- and resource- intensive process often requiring significant field data. We developed a method for predicting trail condition over 183 km of trails in three urban-proximate nature ...
