A NOVEL TRUE REAL-TIME SPATIOTEMPORAL DATA STREAM PROCESSING FRAMEWORK

open access: yesJordanian Journal of Computers and Information Technology, 2022
The ability to interpret spatiotemporal data streams in real-time is critical for a range of systems. However, processing vast amounts of spatiotemporal data out of several sources, such as online traffic, social platforms, sensor networks, and other ...

Zein‐Based Adhesives: Sustainable Extraction and Application in Bioadhesive Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Zein is extracted from corn gluten meal using a simple and scalable process with high yield (~90%). The resulting protein is applied in bioadhesives modified with Ca2+ and Fe3+ ions, exhibiting substrate‐dependent adhesion. The findings demonstrate competitive bonding performance and highlight the role of ionic interactions in tuning adhesion ...

Grounding Stream Reasoning Research [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions on Graph Data and Knowledge
In the last decade, there has been a growing interest in applying AI technologies to implement complex data analytics over data streams. To this end, researchers in various fields have been organising a yearly event called the "Stream Reasoning Workshop"

Reduction of Oxide Inclusions During the High‐Frequency Welding of Steel via a Nonthermal Ar/H2 Plasma Jet

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...

Stream Fusion, to Completeness

open access: yes, 2016
Stream processing is mainstream (again): Widely-used stream libraries are now available for virtually all modern OO and functional languages, from Java to C# to Scala to OCaml to Haskell. Yet expressivity and performance are still lacking.

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

More on Pipelined Dynamic Scheduling of Big Data Streams

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
An important as well as challenging task in modern applications is the management and processing with very short delays of large data volumes. It is quite often, that the capabilities of individual machines are exceeded when trying to manage such large ...

Stream Processing: The Matrix Revolutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Analyzing data streams is a vital task in data science. Often, data comes in different shapes such as triples, tuples, relations, or matrices. Traditional stream processing systems, however, only process data in one of these formats. To enable the processing of streams combining different shapes of data, we developed a system that parses SPARQL queries

Setup‐Optimized Sequencing in Job Shops: Modeling Workstation Productivity and Lateness Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Setup‐optimized sequencing in job‐shop production creates a trade‐off between productivity improvement and schedule reliability. A WIP‐explicit modeling framework links sequencing‐induced productivity gains and lateness dispersion through the production operating curve.
