Stream WatDiv

Proceedings of the International Workshop on Semantic Big Data, 2018
We present Stream WatDiv -- an open-source benchmark for streaming RDF data management systems. The proposed benchmark extends the existing WatDiv benchmark, and includes a streaming data generator, a query generator that can produce a diverse set of SPARQL queries, and a testbed to monitor correctness and latency.

The HERMIT in the stream

Proceedings of the ACM SIGPLAN 2014 Workshop on Partial Evaluation and Program Manipulation, 2014
Stream Fusion, a popular deforestation technique in the Haskell community, cannot fuse the concatMap combinator. This is a serious limitation, as concatMap represents computations on nested streams. The original implementation of Stream Fusion used the Glasgow Haskell Compiler's user-directed rewriting system. A transformation which allows the compiler

Streaming Queries over Streaming Data

2002
Recent work on querying data streams has focused on systems where newly arriving data is processed and continuously streamed to the user in real-time. In many emerging applications, however, ad hoc queries and/or intermittent connectivity also require the processing of data that arrives prior to query submission or during a period of disconnection. For

Streams, Stream Transformers and Domain Representations

1998
Abstract. We present a general theory for the computation of stream transformers of the form F: (R ? B) ? (T ? A), where time T and R, and data A and B, are discrete or continuous. We show how methods for representing topological algebras by algebraic domains can be applied to transformations of continuous streams. A stream transformer is continuous in

Advertising in a stream

Proceedings of the 23rd international conference on World wide web, 2014
One of the most important innovations of social networking websites is the notion of a "feed", a sequence of news items presented to the user as a stream that expands as the user scrolls down. The common method for monetizing such streams is to insert ads in between news items.

Stream Operators for Querying Data Streams

2005
One of the most important uses of aggregate queries over data streams is sampling. Typically, aggregation is performed over sliding windows where queries return new results whenever the window contents change, a concept referred to as a continuous query.

Supply Streams

Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, 2013
A supply stream is a continuous version of a supply chain. It is like a series inventory system, but stock can be held at any point along a continuum, not just at discrete stages. We assume stationary parameters and aim to minimize the long-run average total cost. We show that a stationary continuous-stage echelon base-stock policy is optimal. That is,

Streaming Analytics

Proceedings of the 22nd ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, 2016
Recently we have seen emergence and huge adoption of social media, internet of things for home, industrial internet of things, mobile applications and online transactions. These systems generate streaming data at very large scale. Building technologies and distributed systems that can capture, process and analyze this streaming data in real time is ...

The streaming liver

Liver, 1985
ABSTRACT— Twenty male adult rats weighing 200 g were injected with tritiated thymidine (3HTdR). The animals were then killed in groups of five, at the following times: 1 h, 1, 3 and 5 weeks. Autoradiograms of sections through the liver were prepared. The distances between labelled cells and the portal space rim were measured.
