Examination of a Theoretical Model of Streaming Potential Coupling Coefficient [PDF]
Seismoelectric effects and streaming potentials play an important role in geophysical applications. The key parameter for those phenomena is the streaming potential coupling coefficient, which is, for example, dependent on the zeta potential of the ...

Inspired by lung alveolar architecture, a dual‐templating strategy combining CO2 bubble and ice templating creates mechanically robust super‐macroporous hydrogels with highly interconnected transport pathways. The resulting material achieves 3.37× faster moisture sorption and 1.72× higher solar‐driven water release than single‐templated counterparts ...

Streaming-potential coefficient of reservoir rock: A theoretical model [PDF]
The streaming potential is that electrical potential which develops when an ionic fluid flows through the pores of a rock. It is an old concept that is recently being applied in many fields from monitoring water fronts in oil reservoirs to understanding ...

Durable quasi‐liquid polymer brush surfaces provide an anti‐scaling strategy for hypersaline brine evaporation and zero‐liquid‐discharge desalination. The smooth, liquid‐like QLS interface suppresses substrate‐side salt nucleation, promotes compact crystallization and dewetting, reduces crystal–surface contact area, and enables low‐adhesion salt ...

Streaming potential revisited: the influence of convection on the surface conductivity [PDF]
Electrokinetic phenomena play an important role in the electrical characterization of surfaces. In terms of planar or porous substrates, streaming potential and/or streaming current measurements can be used to determine the zeta potential of the ...

Ultrasoft silicone elastomers often sacrifice surface functionality for mechanical compliance. In Mold Star, low‐molecular‐weight species form a dispersed phase that weakens the network and passivates the surface. Solvent extraction removes this phase, unexpectedly improving both extensibility and metallization performance, enabling conductive ...

Wettability characterization using streaming potential measurements [PDF]
The surface charge of carbonate minerals, which is also expressed in terms of the zeta potential, plays a key control on reservoir wettability, and changes in the zeta potential have been invoked to explain wettability alteration and the release of ...

Bioprinting High‐Cell‐Density Cardiac Tissue Constructs With Sustained Contractile Function
Contractile cardiomyocytes in 3D culture provide insights into the behavior of the heart. Combining a 3D bioprinting approach with a multi‐electrode array allows the development of the 3D culture to be monitored over time, and matured cultures allow the effect of drugs on cardiac function to be modelled, replicating effects seen in clinical application.
