Streaming XML with Jabber/XMPP
IEEE Internet Computing, 2005Jabber is an open alternative to closed instant messaging (IM) and presence services. At its core is the extensible messaging and presence protocol (XMPP), which defines how to stream XML content and is being used to build not only a large open IM network but also a wide range of XML applications.

Visibly pushdown automata for streaming XML
Proceedings of the 16th international conference on World Wide Web, 2007We propose the study of visibly pushdown automata (VPA) for processing XML documents. VPAs are pushdown automata where the input determines the stack operation, and XML documents are naturally visibly pushdown with the VPA pushing onto the stack on open-tags and popping the stack on close-tags.

Keyword Search on Streaming XML Fragments
2009 First International Conference on Information Science and Engineering, 2009With the growing popularity of XML and emergence of streaming data model, processing streaming XML has become an important topic. This paper proposes keyword search solution over XML fragment streams based on hole-filler model. Two efficient indexes, dual list and sketch are developed to further improve the performance: dual list indexes the candidate ...

A survey on XML streaming evaluation techniques
The VLDB Journal, 2013XML is currently the most popular format for exchanging and representing data on the web. It is used in various applications and for different types of data including structured, semistructured, and unstructured heterogeneous data types. During the period, XML was establishing itself, data streaming applications have gained increased attention and ...

Efficient querying of XML streams will be one of the fundamental features of next-generation information systems. In this paper we propose the TurboXPath path processor, which accepts a language equivalent to a subset of the for-let-where constructs of XQuery over a single document.

History Checking of XML Data Streams
17th International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications (DEXA'06), 2006Besides being adopted as the new general data representation format for the Internet, XML is finding increasing acceptance as a native data exchange language. In order to fully exploit its potential XML data streams management systems have to be fully equipped with data verification and analysis capabilities.

Stream firewalling of xml constraints
Proceedings of the 2008 ACM SIGMOD international conference on Management of data, 2008As XML-based messages have become common in many client-server protocols, there is a need to protect application servers from invalid or dangerous messages. This leads to the XML stream firewalling problem; that of applying integrity constraints against a large number of simultaneous streams.

Most existing XML stream processing techniques adopt full structured query languages such as XPath or XQuery, which are difficult for ordinary users to learn and use. This chapter presents an XML stream filter system called XKFitler, which uses keyword to filter XML streams.

XQuery path queries form the basis of complex matching and processing of XML data. Most current XML query processing techniques can be divided in two groups. Navigation-based algorithms compute results by analyzing an input stream of documents one tag at a time.

Approximate Validity of XML Streaming Data
2008 The Ninth International Conference on Web-Age Information Management, 2008We present a SAX implementation of the statistical embedding associated with XML data, introduced in [1], [2], which allows to efficiently decide eps-validity to any DTD or Schema, for the Edit Distance with Moves. It associates a generalized k-gram to unranked labelled trees (with k = 1/epsiv) from which any regular property can be approximately ...
