Positively Charged Polymer‐Brush MOFs for Large‐Area, Pressure‐Resistant Gas Separation Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A universal POPA strategy enables positively charged polymer‐brush MOFs with self‐adaptive interfacial interlocking to resist aggregation under fast processing. This design ensures seamless dispersion within large‐area selective layers, achieving 1 m‐wide roll‐to‐roll fabrication of pressure‐resistant MMCMs with tunable CO2 separation performance ...

Self‐Powered Flexible Triboelectric‐Gated Ion‐Gel Transistor for Neuromorphic Tactile Sensing and Human Activity Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.

Assessing Microbial Pollution of Surface Water Streams at Thirty Villages in Gharbia and Menofia Governorates

open access: yesJournal of High Institute of Public Health, 2008
The management of microbial pollution sources in rural surface water is challenging. Its management programs often rely on monitoring for a large number of water quality parameters to define contaminant issues.

Large‐Area 2D Metasurface‐Based Triboelectric E‐Skin Arrays: Contact & Proximity Tactile Mapping with Broadband Acoustic Readouts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface‐engineered NC‐TENG arrays integrate tactile pressure mapping, non‐contact gesture sensing, and acoustic signal readouts in one ultrathin module, and outperforms pristine PDMS in terms of electrical output and real‐time spatial mapping for next‐gen wearables.

Streamlets within meteoroid streams on NEA orbits [PDF]

open access: yesGeofísica Internacional, 2008
Five meteoroid streams of apparent asteroidal nature have been identified in the IAU_MDC Database of Photographic Meteors. Three streams contain streamlets, composed of two or more meteoroids sharing nimpact rate on the NEA population by objects 1 m or ...

Thermally Modulated Metasurface Sensor for Dynamic and Time‐Resolved Isolation of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A thermally adaptive plasmonic metasurface, functionalized with poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) and anti‐CD63 antibodies, enables precise, on‐demand capture and release of extracellular vesicles (EVs). Delivering high recovery, improved purity, and intact vesicle structure, the platform offers a versatile, label‐free solution for real‐time EV ...

Single Crystals of Perylene Diimide‐Based Two‐Dimensional Covalent Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Synthesizing extended crystals of two‐dimensional covalent organic frameworks (2D COFs) has remained a major challenge. Here, we report a high‐temperature double‐modulator strategy that provides access to new perylene diimide (PDI)‐based COFs with crystal sizes of up to 50 µm.

Converging Streams – A Combinatorial Approach to the Multiple Streams Framework

open access: yes, 2017
Kingdon’s Multiple Streams Framework (MSF) is one of the most widely recognized political process theories and has been applied in a broad range of policy fields. The MSF draws from Cohen, March, and Olsen’s garbage can model of organizational choice and

Food webs in forest and pasture streams in the Waikato region, New Zealand: A study based on analyses of stable isotopes of carbon and nitrogen, and fish gut contents.

open access: yes, 1997
Stable isotopes of carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) were studied in 11 stream communities in the Waikato region of New Zealand. From comparisons of mean d13C and d15N values, food webs in the shaded, forest streams were clearly based on allochthonous material

The effect of riffle restoration on the recovery of endangered Nooksack Dace (Rhinichthys cataractae sp. cataractae)

open access: yesFACETS
The Nooksack Dace (Rhinichthys cataractae sp. cataractae) is a federally endangered riffle specialist endemic to the lower Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada, with historic population declines associated with riffle loss from stream dredging ...
