No More Discrimination: Cross City Adaptation of Road Scene Segmenters

open access: yes, 2017
Despite the recent success of deep-learning based semantic segmentation, deploying a pre-trained road scene segmenter to a city whose images are not presented in the training set would not achieve satisfactory performance due to dataset biases.

Terahertz Channel Modeling, Estimation and Localization in RIS‐Assisted Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces have become a recent intensive research focus. Based on practical applications, channel strategies for RIS‐assisted terahertz wireless communication systems are categorized into three different types: channel modeling, channel estimation, and channel localization.

Wine Tourism as a Catalyst for Sustainable Performance: The Mediating Role of Corporate Legitimacy and Green Innovation

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study aims to explore the influence of Wine Tourism (WT) on the Sustainable Performance (SP) of wineries in Spain. It particularly investigates how Corporate Social Legitimacy (CSL) and Green Innovation (GI) may act as intermediary factors in this relationship.

Assessing Haitian Consumers' Willingness to Pay a Premium for Aflatoxin‐Compliant Peanut Butter in the Informal Market

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Market‐based solutions are increasingly tested to address aflatoxin issues in peanuts in developing countries. Although previous studies have found that Haitian grocery store shoppers are willing to pay a 21% premium for peanut butter with levels of aflatoxin that meet international standards, no information is available for the much larger ...

Street view images blur detection

open access: yesJournal of Autonomous Intelligence

Blurred regions in images can hinder visual analysis and have a notable impact on applications such as navigation systems and virtual tours. Many existing approaches in the literature assume the presence of blurred regions in an image and process the entire image, even when no blurred regions are actually present.

Aerial to Street View Image Translation using Cascaded Conditional GANs

open access: yesProceedings of the 17th International Joint Conference on Computer Vision, Imaging and Computer Graphics Theory and Applications, 2022
Cross view image translation is a challenging case of viewpoint translation which involves generating the street view image when the aerial view image is given and vice versa. As there is no overlap in the two views, a single stage generation network fails to capture the complex scene structure of objects in these two views. Our work aims to tackle the

EMG‐Driven Telemetry and Inference System for Fish: Pose Reconstruction and Flow Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work introduces an electromyography (EMG)‐driven telemetry framework that reconstructs body pose and infers hydrodynamic conditions in freely swimming fish. A custom 16‐channel archival system records intramuscular EMG, enabling deep‐learning models to decode joint kinematics, classify flow regimes, and reveal channel‐efficient sensing strategies.
