Versatile Palladium‐Catalyzed C‐H Arylation of Fluoroarenes with 2‐Chloropyridine Derivatives

Direct C─H arylation of fluoroarenes with 2‐chloropyridines is enabled by a simple Pd/SPhos system in isopropyl acetate. The method uses inexpensive reactants and shows broad scope and high yields. DFT computations explain reactivity and selectivity.

Inclusion Complexations of Levamisole and Cocaine With Molecular Baskets. Fluorescence Displacement Assay for Detection of Cocaine and Its Adulterant Levamisole in Aqueous Media

Levamisole is a common adulterant found in street‐distributed cocaine. Molecular baskets have been shown to form stable inclusion complexes with both substances. While levamisole inserts its benzene into the basket's cavity, cocaine utilizes its bicyclic ring for encapsulation.

Phase I Metabolism of Novel Phencyclidine Derivative 3‐Cl‐PCP: In Vitro Studies With Pooled Human Liver Microsomes and Investigation of a Post‐Mortem Case

A fatal 3‐chloro‐phencyclidine (3‐Cl‐PCP) intoxication was investigated by analyzing postmortem samples and a pooled human liver microsomes assay. Tentative metabolite identification was performed by liquid chromatography‐quadrupole time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (LC‐QTOF‐MS). Seven phase I metabolites were identified.
