This is a descriptive analysis of a historic New Orleans Garden District house by its owner, an architect who has embraced the idiosyncratic aspects of the house while designing ways of enhancing them. The chapter’s vantage point is lived and imagined experience, in the manner of Gaston Bachelard, focused upon the concept of dwelling.
