CALCULATION OF STRESS-STRAIN STATE OF FIBER COMPOSITE ADHESIVE

Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics
The author investigates a three-dimensional elastic periodic cell problem involving cross-reinforced fibers using the finite element method. Numerical solutions to the cell problem reveal all possible modes of local strain within the fiber-reinforced composite adhesive. Numerical examples are presented for fibers with circular and square cross-sections.
