Stress field in deformed polycrystals at the micron scale [PDF]
Theoretical, numerical, and experimental micromechanical approaches have been the subject of significant improvements during the last decade, from the scale of the lattice defect (nanometre) up to the scale of the polycrystal (millimetre). When plastic deformations take place in polycrystals, strong and systematic strain heterogeneities build up ...

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

Mineral reaction and deformation in Plagioclase-Olivine composites : an experimental study [PDF]
Deformation and metamorphism of rocks are fundamentally interrelated but the ways in which processes of reaction and deformation mutually influence each other are still poorly understood in natural rocks.

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Constitutive model for interface between concrete slab and rockfill and its application
Concrete slabs play a crucial role in the seepage controlling system of concrete-faced dams. The stress and deformation behavior of concrete slabs mainly depends on the stress-strain properties of their supporting rockfill materials and the contact ...
