Resolving a Complex Neonatal Phenotype by Rapid Trio Whole‐Genome Sequencing: A De Novo 11q14.3–q22.3 Deletion and a Splicing‐Altering Synonymous ANK1 Variant

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Clinical utility of trio WGS and time metrics in a neonate with congenital anomalies and hemolytic anemia. ABSTRACT Background Neonates with complex and evolving phenotypes often lack sufficiently specific clinical features to guide targeted genetic testing.

Asymptomatic Giant Right Ventricular Myxoma in an Adolescent: A Rare Case Report With Favorable Surgical Outcome

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
We report a 13‐year‐old female with a giant right ventricular myxoma extending to the pulmonary trunk. The tumor was diagnosed by multimodal imaging and completely resected, with favorable short‐term outcomes. ABSTRACT Right ventricular (RV) myxomas account for < 5% of cardiac myxomas and are often asymptomatic, easily overlooked.

Standardized MRI‐Based Quantification of Epicardial Adipose Tissue Volume: Reproducibility and Agreement With Cardiac Computed Tomography

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Epicardial adipose tissue volume (EATV) is increasingly recognized as a cardiometabolic risk marker associated with adverse outcomes. The most established approach for EATV quantification is cardiac computed tomography (CT). MRI offers a radiation‐free alternative allowing simultaneous assessment of myocardial function and tissue ...

VERTICAL VELOERGOMETRY AND TRANSOESOPHAGEAL STRESS ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY

open access: yesРоссийский кардиологический журнал, 2011
Transoesophageal (TE) assess in stress echocardiography (EchoCG) enables us to overcome the principal limitation of the method – poor visualization quality in patients with “non-diagnostic windows”.

Diastolic Stress Echocardiography:A Novel Noninvasive Diagnostic Test for Diastolic Dysfunction Using Supine Bicycle ExerciseDoppler Echocardiography

open access: yes, 2017
Left ventricular filling pressures can be estimated reliably by combining mitral inflow early diastolic velocity (E) and annulus velocity (E'). An increased E/E' ratio reflects elevated filling pressures and may be useful in assessing an abnormal ...

Successful propranolol therapy for infantile hepatic hemangioma with cardiac failure

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Infantile hepatic hemangioma (IHH) can cause severe complications such as high‐output cardiac failure and growth faltering, requiring prompt diagnosis and intervention. In the absence of standardized treatment guidelines, propranolol has emerged as an effective and well‐tolerated therapy.

Quantitative stress echocardiography in coronary artery disease using contrast-based myocardial blood flow measurements: prospective comparison with coronary angiography

open access: yes, 2009
AIM: To test whether quantitative stress echocardiography using contrast-based myocardial blood flow (MBF, ml x min(-1) x g(-1)) measurements can detect coronary artery disease in humans.

METTL14 Regulates Myocardial Infarction Progression via m6A‐Dependent Modulation of OTUD1‐Mediated Deubiquitination of DUSP6

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Myocardial infarction (MI) is the most severe clinical manifestation of coronary artery diseases (CVD) and serves as a critical driver of sudden cardiac death and heart failure (HF). Its pathophysiology begins with the abrupt cessation of coronary blood flow, leading to severe ischemia and subsequent cardiomyocyte necrosis. This study aimed to
