Modeling and Verification of Stress Relaxation Behavior of Ti-6Al-4V [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2020
The phenomenon of gradual decrease of internal stress with the deformation of material maintained under the precondition of certain temperature and initial stress or pre-strain is called stress relaxation.

Study on Residual Stress Relaxation Behaviour and Modelling of Shot-Peened TC4 Titanium Alloy

open access: yesMetals
Residual stress induced by shot peening (SP) is inherently unstable. Stress relaxation has attracted widespread attention, and related research has been carried out.

Study on stress relaxation characteristics of FGH95 powder superalloy treated by laser shock peening

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2022
Aiming at the phenomenon that the residual stress induced by Laser Shock Peening (LSP) will relax and redistribute under various loads, temperature, cyclic load, and the dual treatment of temperature and cyclic load on the residual stress relaxation of ...

Study of the stress relaxation resistance and microstructural evolution of a Cu–Ni–Si alloy strip

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
The stress relaxation resistance of a Cu–Ni–Si alloy strip after 48 h of initial loading stress of 80% σ0.2 at 125 °C was studied. The stress relaxation curve was fitted using a model. By employing EBSD, TEM, and other techniques, this study examined the

Stress Relaxation Properties and Microscopic Deformation Structure in Bending of the C7025 and C7035 Alloy

open access: yesCrystals, 2018
Stress relaxation tests in cantilever bending were performed on the C7025 and C7035 alloys at 298 K and 393 K, respectively. The effect of stress-relief treatments on stress relaxation properties was investigated.

Investigating How Auditory and Visual Stimuli Promote Recovery After Stress With Potential Applications for Workplace Stress and Burnout: Protocol for a Randomized Trial

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2022
BackgroundWork-related stress is one of the top sources of stress amongst working adults. Relaxation rooms are one organizational strategy being used to reduce workplace stress.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Experimental study on rheological properties of serrate discontinuity under stepwise loading

open access: yesScientific Reports
Serrate discontinuity creep and stress relaxation tests are conducted to analyze the differences and relationships between creep, relaxation, and long-term strength using the same normal stress and shear stress levels.

Overdamped stress relaxation in buckled rods [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2004
We present a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the stress relaxation in a multiply but weakly buckled incompressible rod in a viscous solvent. In the bulk two interesting regimes of generic self--similar intermediate asymptotics are distinguished, which give rise to two classes of approximate and exact power--law solutions, respectively.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
