A material model for aluminium sheet forming at elevated temperatures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
In order to accurately simulate the deep drawing or stretching of aluminum sheet at elevated\ud temperatures, a model is required that incorporates the temperature and strain-rate dependency of the material.\ud In this paper two models are compared: a ...

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Oxygen Phonon Branches in Detwinned YBa2Cu3O7

open access: yes, 2002
We report results of inelastic neutron scattering measurements of phonon dispersions on a detwinned sample of YBaCu3O7 and compare them with model calculations.

Elasticity of semiflexible polymers with and without self-interactions

open access: yes, 2003
A {\it new} formula for the force vs extension relation is derived from the discrete version of the so called {\it worm like chain} model. This formula correctly fits some recent experimental data on polymer stretching and some numerical simulations with

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Melting heat transfer features in a Bo¨dewadt flow of hybrid nanofluid (Cu−Al2O3/water) by a stretching stationary disk

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
The melting impacts on the three-dimensional hybrid nanofluid flow by a stationary stretching disk is examined. The flow configuration is due to the stretching of the disk.

The relaxation dynamics of a viscous silica melt: II The intermediate scattering functions

open access: yes, 2001
We use molecular dynamics computer simulations to study the relaxation dynamics of a viscous melt of silica. The coherent and incoherent intermediate scattering functions, F_d(q,t) and F_s(q,t), show a crossover from a nearly exponential decay at high ...

Rational Fine‐Tuning of MOF Pore Metrics: Enhanced SO2 Capture and Sensing with Optimal Multi‐Site Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.

Raman scattering study of phonon and spin modes in (TMTSF)2PF6

open access: yes, 2001
We have studied polarized Raman spectra of (TMTSF)2PF6 single crystals in the wide spectral and temperature range using different laser energies. We observed and assigned 23 Raman active modes. The carbon C=C in-phase and out-of-phase stretching modes at
