Hybrid Nanofluids Flows Determined by a Permeable Power-Law Stretching/Shrinking Sheet Modulated by Orthogonal Surface Shear

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
The present paper studies the flow and heat transfer of the hybrid nanofluids flows induced by a permeable power-law stretching/shrinking surface modulated orthogonal surface shear.

Enhancing energy transport in Homann stagnation-point flow over a spiraling disk with ternary hybrid nanofluids

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2023
The incorporation of nanoparticles is highly desirable due to their capability to enhance thermal conductivity, which promotes efficient heat dissipation, enhances the performance and reliability of heat-generating/absorption systems.

Research on mechanical performance of industrial polypropylene biaxial geogrid

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 2021
Biaxial plastic geogrid is a polymer mesh formed by biaxial stretching. When making biaxial plastic geogrids, generally, the polymer sheet made by extrusion is pre-punched first, and then the biaxial stretching is carried out at an appropriate ...

Effects of Room Temperature Stretching and Annealing on the Crystallization Behavior and Performance of Polyvinylidene Fluoride Hollow Fiber Membranes

open access: yesMembranes, 2020
A treatment consisting of room temperature stretching and subsequent annealing was utilized to regulate the morphology and performance of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) hollow fiber membranes.

Denaturation transition of stretched DNA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We generalize the Poland-Scheraga model to consider DNA denaturation in the presence of an external stretching force. We demonstrate the existence of a force-induced DNA denaturation transition and obtain the temperature-force phase diagram.

Hydrothermal analysis of MHD nanofluid (TiO2-GO) flow between two radiative stretchable rotating disks using AGM

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2019
Nanofluid flow between two stretchable and rotating disks with homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions and Joule heating is investigated in existence of magnetic field. Thermal radiation effect has been considered in energy equation.

Strain dependent crystallization of isotactic polypropylene during solid-state stretching

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 2021
In this study, the crystallization behavior of oriented isotactic polypropylene during solid-state stretching was investigated by in-situ wide-angle X-ray scattering.

Stretched Exponential Relaxation of Glasses at Low Temperature

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2015
The question of whether glass continues to relax at low temperature is of fundamental and practical interest. Here, we report a novel atomistic simulation method allowing us to directly access the long-term dynamics of glass relaxation at room temperature.

Tension relaxation after stretch in resting mammalian muscle fibers: stretch activation at physiological temperatures

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 1996
Tension responses to ramp stretches of 1-3% Lo (fiber length) in amplitude were examined in resting muscle fibers of the rat at temperatures ranging from 10 degrees C to 36 degrees C. Experiments were done using bundles of approximately 10 intact fibers isolated from the extensor digitorum longus (a fast muscle) and the soleus (a slow muscle).
