Emergent Freestanding Complex Oxide Membranes for Multifunctional Applications
This review surveys freestanding oxide membranes and covers fabrication and three pathways for studies and devices: strain‐free and strained membranes, and van der Waals‐integrated heterostructures. We show how coupled oxide responses map onto these routes and cross‐couple to expand behaviors.

The family of Clayton copulas is one of the most widely used Archimedean copulas for dependency measurement. A major drawback of this copula is that when it accounts for negative dependence, the copula is nonstrict and its support is dependent on the ...

We analyze the problem of fully implementing a social choice set in ex post equilibrium. Weidentify an ex post monotonicity condition that is necessary and -- in economic environments -- sufficient for full implementation in ex post equilibrium.

"Non-strict" l'Hospital-Type Rules for Monotonicity: Intervals of Constancy
Assuming that a "derivative" ratio rho:=f'/g' of the ratio r:=f/g of differentiable functions f and g is strictly monotonic (that is, rho is increasing or decreasing), it was shown in previous papers that then r can switch at most once, from decrease to increase or vice versa.

An LCD‐compatible complementary liquid‐crystal metasurface delivers dual‐band, dual‐polarized Ka‐band wavefront control with millisecond switching via a 10‐µm LC gap. Interlaced patch/slot pairs enable independent phase tuning at 28 and 38 GHz, while strategic 45° slot rotation suppresses parasitic resonances. Measurements on a 160 × 160‐cell prototype

Development of a total variation diminishing (TVD) sea ice transport scheme and its application in an ocean (SCHISM v5.11) and sea ice (Icepack v1.3.4) coupled model on unstructured grids [PDF]
As the demand for increased resolution and complexity in unstructured sea ice models is growing, higher demands are also placed on the sea ice transport scheme. In this study, we couple the Semi-implicit Cross-scale Hydro-science Integrated System Model (

Ductility Tuning via Cluster Network Characteristics of Porous Components
Network optimization via cluster characteristics induced by interaction of stress concentration is proposed, demonstrating increased cluster size and dispersion in non‐uniform porous components. The optimized structures exhibit, for the first time, that enhanced ductility and damage progression is controllable through zigzag cluster network designed by

Analysis of Non-Monotonic Piecewise Lyapunov Stability and Semi-PID Design for MIMO Piecewise Affine Systems [PDF]
In this study, we introduce the Non-monotonic Lyapunov (NML) approach, aimed at stability examining and designing stabilizable controller for a specific category of discrete piecewise affine dynamical systems.

Nash Implementation with Lottery Mechanisms [PDF]
Consider the problem of exact Nash Implementation of social choice correspondences. Define a lottery mechanism as a mechanism in which the planner can randomize on alternatives out of equilibrium while pure alternatives are always chosen in equilibrium ...

Versatile Control of Spectral Emissivity in Mid‐Infrared Metasurfaces via Silicon Microstructuring
A family of metasurfaces is obtained very simply, solely through the structuration of a single‐crystal silicon surface, without any other material involved. Based on the infrared plasmonic behavior of highly doped silicon, further control of surface topography by micro‐ and nano‐structuration is found to enable an avenue of options toward tailoring its
