Water‐Efficient Smart Drip Irrigation Enabled by a Low‐Power and High‐Efficiency Flexible Electromagnetic Actuator

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Water scarcity poses a critical threat to global food security. A low‐power, flexible electromagnetic actuator is presented for smart drip irrigation systems. The device achieves precise, wide‐range flow modulation (0.05–5.8 mL/min) in response to real‐time plant demands, reducing water consumption compared to conventional flood irrigation.

A Novel 10‐Protein Score for Liver Fat Content Predicts Cardiovascular‐Kidney‐Metabolic Disease Risk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel 10‐protein plasma score precisely quantifies liver fat, outperforming the fatty liver index. It robustly predicts the risk of numerous cardiovascular‐kidney‐metabolic diseases and integrates with genetic data for precision prevention, offering a practical alternative to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Abstract Liver fat content (LFC) is a key

Real‐Time Visualization of Isoform‐Specific RAF‐KRAS Interactions in Living Cells Using FRET‐BRET Hybrid Biosensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hybrid FRET–BRET biosensors were developed to monitor RAF–KRAS interactions in living cells. These sensors enable real‐time visualization of interaction dynamics, quantitative spectral analysis, and validation of mutation‐selective inhibitors, providing a versatile platform for probing KRAS regulation and therapeutic responses. ABSTRACT The RAS–RAF–MEK–

Cantor Type Attractors in Stochastic Growth Models. [PDF]

open access: yes
We study a one-sector stochastic optimal growth model where production is affected by a shock taking one of two values. Such exogenous shock may enter multiplicatively or additively.

S3RL: Enhancing Spatial Single‐Cell Transcriptomics With Separable Representation Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Separable Spatial Representation Learning (S3RL) is introduced to enhance the reconstruction of spatial transcriptomic landscapes by disentangling spatial structure and gene expression semantics. By integrating multimodal inputs with graph‐based representation learning and hyperspherical prototype modeling, S3RL enables high‐fidelity spatial domain ...

Qualitative properties of traveling wavefronts for a three-component lattice dynamical system with delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
This article concerns a three-component delayed lattice dynamical system arising in competition models. In such models, traveling wave solutions serve an important tool to understand the competition mechanism, i.e.

On the obstacle problem in fractional generalised Orlicz spaces

open access: yesMathematics in Engineering
We consider the one and the two obstacles problems for the nonlocal nonlinear anisotropic $ g $-Laplacian $ \mathcal{L}_g^s $, with $ 0 < s < 1 $. We prove the strict T-monotonicity of $ \mathcal{L}_g^s $ and we obtain the Lewy-Stampacchia inequalities $

A Wireless, Battery‐Free Artificial Throat Patch with Deep Learning for Emotional Speech Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, Xu and co‐workers develop a wireless, battery‐free artificial throat patch system (ATPS) consisting of a carbon nanotube‐based thin‐film strain sensor and a miniaturized flexible printed circuit board, to enable real‐time sensing of throat signals.

Dual Kriging with a Nonlinear Hybrid Gaussian RBF–Polynomial Trend: The Theory and Application to PM2.5 Estimation in Northern Thailand

open access: yesMathematics
Accurate spatial interpolation of environmental data requires utilizing flexible models that can capture complex spatial patterns. In this paper, we present two improved dual kriging (DK) models comprising a nonlinear trend function that combines ...
