Two Distinct Phonon Wave Effects Control Thermal Transport across the Coherent–Incoherent Regime in Superlattices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermal transport in smooth‐interface superlattices is studied using the phonon Wigner transport equation, which captures both particle‐like and wave‐like contributions. A minimum in cross‐plane thermal conductivity emerges with increasing period thickness, signaling a crossover from coherent to incoherent phonon transport.

Room‐Temperature Alane Dehydrogenation for Visible‐Light‐Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Supply System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In situ formed Al/MOF enables viable visible‐light‐driven photocatalytic dehydrogenation of alane (AlH3) confirming practical application. Results demonstrate that Al nanoparticles prolong lifetime of photogenerated charge carriers via localized surface plasmon resonance induced hot electron injection, while AlH3 chemisorption triggers interfacial ...

Relaxed Monotonic QMIX (R-QMIX): A Regularized Value Factorization Approach to Decentralized Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesRobotics
Value factorization methods have become a standard tool for cooperative multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) in the centralized-training, decentralized-execution (CTDE) setting.

Implementation in adaptive better-response dynamics: Towards a general theory of bounded rationality in mechanisms. [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the classic implementation problem under the behavioral assumption that agents myopically adjust their actions in the direction of better-responses or bestresponses.

Microscale Mapping of Fiber Strain and Damage in Composite Wrinkled Laminates Using Computed Tomography Assisted Wide‐Angle X‐Ray Scattering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study combines full‐field tomography with diffraction mapping to quantify radial (ε002$\varepsilon _{002}$) and axial (ε100$\varepsilon _{100}$) lattice strain in wrinkled carbon‐fiber specimens for the first time. Radial microstrain gradients (−14.5 µεMPa$\varepsilon \mathrm{MPa}$−1) are found to signal damage‐prone zones ahead of failure, which ...

A remark on some nonlinear elliptic problems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2002
We shall prove an existence result of $W_0^{1,p}(Omega)$ solutions for the boundary value problem $$displylines{ -mathop{m div} a(x, u,abla u)=F quadmbox{in }Omegacr u=0quadmbox{on }partialOmega }$$ with right hand side in $W^{-1,p'}(Omega)$.

Direct Recycling of Mixed‐Oxide Cathodes: Balancing Cost, Performance and Environmental Trade‐Offs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Direct regeneration routes for mixed‐oxide lithium‐ion battery cathodes are systematically compared using harmonized techno‐economic, electrochemical, and environmental metrics. Solid‐state, hydrothermal, molten salt, electrochemical, and chemical relithiation methods are benchmarked to identify performance, cost, and sustainability trade‐offs.

Noise Fingerprints as a Quantitative Order Parameter for Polarization‐ and Defect‐Mediated Switching in Hafnia Ferroelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Low‐frequency noise fingerprints in hafnia ferroelectrics provide a quantitative handle to resolve the long‐standing debate between polarization‐mediated and defect‐mediated switching. By tuning oxygen vacancy density via ALD O3 dose time and applying a physically constrained deconvolution, we extract bias‐resolved current fractions for both mechanisms

Multi-attribute decision-making method based on complex T-spherical fuzzy frank prioritized aggregation operators

open access: yesHeliyon
This article aims to introduce new aggregation operators (AOs) by assigning the positive real values known as priority degree among the strict priority levels. To Develop the complex T-spherical fuzzy (TSF) frank prioritized (CTSFFP) AOs, using the frank

Low‐Voltage and High‐k Properties of Bilayer HZO Capacitors at the Morphotropic Phase Boundary for Next‐Generation Memory Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The HfxZr1‐xO2‐based ferroelectric/antiferroelectric bilayer capacitor exhibits morphotropic‐phase‐boundary behavior with a high dielectric constant (∼52) at 2 V. Phase engineering stabilizes o/t‐phase coexistence and suppresses m‐phase formation, enabling capacitance enhancement and self‐optimization under cycling for scalable low‐voltage, high‐κ ...
