Uniform monotonicity of Orlicz spaces equipped with the Mazur–Orlicz F‐norm and dominated best approximation in F‐normed Köthe spaces

Mathematische Nachrichten, 2022
We collect several useful equivalent conditions for order continuity in F‐normed Köthe spaces. Next, we study uniform monotonicity of Orlicz function (sequence) spaces equipped with the Mazur–Orlicz F‐norm.

Strict Single Crossing and the Strict Spence-Mirrlees Condition: A Comment on Monotone Comparative Statics

Econometrica, 1998
MILGROM AND SHANNON (1994) clarify the relationship between order-theoretic methods for comparative statics and more traditional differential techniques by developing relationships between the differential Spence-Mirrlees single crossing property and the order-theoretic single crossing property.

A note on strict K-monotonicity of some symmetric function spaces

Commentationes Mathematicae, 2013
We discuss some sufficient and necessary conditions for strict K-monotonicity of some important concrete symmetric spaces. The criterion for strict monotonicity of the Lorentz space \(\Gamma _{p,w}\) with \(0\)

Strict monotonous asymptotic energetic stability part II: Bond graph resolutions

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1999
Abstract Applications of the theory of strict monotonous asymptotic energetic stability developed in the first part require determination of the system power and energy and tests of their properties. The bond graph modelling appears an adequate effective approach to solving these problems.

The Range of Applicability of some Non-monotonic Logics for Strict Inertia

Journal of Logic and Computation, 1994
A framework for assessing systematically theories of action and change is presented. The framework consists of a logic for representing scenario descriptions and the semantic machinery for defining the intended models for the descriptions. A proposed theory of action and change is analyzed in terms of its selection function that maps scenario ...

The stagnation effect and the individually strict monotonic path solutions [PDF]

open access: possible, 2012
Several bargaining solutions could fail to capture advantage from having sets closer to the same utopia point. If the whole frontier of the set is improved maintaining the same utopia point, these solutions outcome remains stagnant at the same point. We called this phenomena the stagnation effect. In order to reflect the idea that if the bargaining set

An Enriched Grothendieck Topos with Strict Monotonicity Constraints

This note constructs an enriched Grothendieck topos over a Heyting algebra $\Omega = [0, \infty]$, with strict monotonicity constraints on chains in the site. The site is generated from a rational dense subset of $\Omega$, ensuring smallness while recovering the continuum via Dedekind completion.
