The Journal of Pediatrics, 1950Summary 1.Congenital anorectal stricture was found in 39 of 100 consecutive infants brought for routine care to the well-baby clinic. 2.Only 9 of the 39 strictures gave rise to associated symptoms. 3.All the strictures dilated spontaneously if left untreated when the infants reached the age somewhere between 3 and 6 months.
