Estimation of displacements along strike-slip fault on a million-year timescale: A case study of the AltynTagh fault system

open access: yesDizhi lixue xuebao, 2021
Fault slip rate matters not only as one of the important parameters for quantitative study of Cenozoic tectonics but also a key element in geodynamic research.

A new interpretation of Stephanian deformation in the Decazeville basin (Massif Central, France); consequences on late Variscan tectonism. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Five stages of faulting were observed in and around the Stephanian Decazeville basin, in the SW French Massif Central, at the southern edge of the Sillon houiller fault. The older stage ends during middle Stephanian time, and corresponds to a strike-slip

Solvent‐Free Bonding Mechanisms and Microstructure Engineering in Dry Electrode Technology for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dry electrode technology revolutionizes battery manufacturing by eliminating toxic solvents and energy‐intensive drying. This work details two promising techniques: dry spray deposition and polymer fibrillation. How their unique solvent‐free bonding mechanisms create uniform microstructures for thicker, denser electrodes, boosting energy density and ...

Laser‐Based Sculpturing of Embedded Ultrathin Metal‐Oxide Nanopores for Enhanced Biomolecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled laser‐drilling of embedded HfO2 membranes creates three layer nanopores with Gaussian‐shaped cavities sculptured in the supporting layers. These embedded solid‐state nanopores slow DNA translocation by 12‐fold compared to SiNx pores, enabling high‐resolution, label‐free detection of short DNAs, RNAs, and proteins.

Toughening β‐Ga2O3 via Mechanically Seeded Dislocations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
β‐Ga2O3 is promising for next‐generation semiconductors but its brittleness limits flexible and high‐precision applications. Here, mechanically seeded dislocations introduced by surface deformation improved damage tolerance in (001) β‐Ga2O3. Nanoindentation and characterization show dislocations suppress cleavage cracks by enabling stable plastic ...

Tectonic features, genetic mechanisms and basin evolution of the eastern Doseo Basin, Chad

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2023
The features of the unconformity, fault and tectonic inversion in the eastern Doseo Basin, Chad, were analyzed, and the genetic mechanisms and basin evolution were discussed using seismic and drilling data. The following results are obtained. First, four

Unravelling the Atomic Structure of a Metal‐Covalent Organic Framework Assembled from Ruthenium Metalloligands

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Metal‐covalent organic frameworks (MCOFs) are novel porous materials that exhibit the advantages of covalent and metal‐organic frameworks. However, it is extremely difficult to resolve their atomic structure and better understand their structure‐properties relation. This work utilizes a synergistic combination of advanced microscopy, spectroscopic, and

Influence of extensional strike-slip fault systems on hydrocarbon accumulation: case studies from Huanghekoudong and Miaoxi’nan sub-sags

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
Extensional strike-slip basins have unique structural features that influence both sub-sags and traps. Despite previous investigations into the extension-strike-slip fault system, there remains a gap in the comprehensive analysis of its influence on sub ...
