Constraints on fault and lithosphere rheology from the coseismic slip and postseismic afterslip of the 2006 M_w 7.0 Mozambique earthquake [PDF]
The 2006 M_w 7.0 Mozambique (Machaze) normal-faulting earthquake ruptured an unusually steeply dipping fault plane (~75°). The amount of slip in the earthquake decreased from depths of ~10 km toward the surface, and this shallow slip deficit was at least

Strike-slip deformations in the West Siberian Basin and their impact on exploration and development of oil and gas reservoirs [PDF]
Extensive 3D seismic exploration has revealed in much of the West Siberian petroliferous basin area a special type of faults and deformations within the sedimentary cover, caused by low-separation basement strike-slip faults.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

Spectral-element simulations of long-term fault slip: Effect of low-rigidity layers on earthquake-cycle dynamics [PDF]
We develop a spectral element method for the simulation of long-term histories of spontaneous seismic and aseismic slip on faults subjected to tectonic loading.

Multi‐Scale Interface Engineering of MXenes for Multifunctional Sensory Systems
MXenes, as two‐dimensional transition metal carbides and nitrides, demonstrate remarkable capabilities for multifunctional sensing applications. This review systematically examines multi‐scale interface engineering approaches that enhance sensing performance, enable diverse detection functionalities, and improve system‐level compatibility in MXene ...

Strike-slip tectonics in the SW Barents Sea during North Atlantic rifting (Swaen Graben, Northern Norway) [PDF]
This study uses high quality, three-dimensional [3-D] seismic data to investigate the occurrence of strike-slip faults in the Swaen Graben, SW Barents Sea. The Swaen Graben is divided into two principal sub-basins:- SSB1 and SSB2.
