Rindler Physics on the String Worldsheet [PDF]
We construct the tensionless limit of bosonic string theory in terms of a family of worldsheets with increasing acceleration and show that the null string emerges in the limit of infinite acceleration when the Rindler horizon is hit. We discover a novel phenomenon we call null string complementarity, which gives two distinct observer-dependent pictures

String Physics and Black Holes [PDF]
In these lectures we review the quantum physics of large Schwarzschild black holes. Hawking's information paradox, the theory of the stretched horizon and the principle of black hole complementarity are covered.

ON NONEQUILIBRIUM PHYSICS AND STRING THEORY [PDF]
In this paper, we review the relation between string theory and nonequilibrium physics based on our previously published work. First, we explain why a theory of quantum gravity and nonequilibrium statistical physics should be related in the first place. Then, we present the necessary background from the recent research in nonequilibrium physics.

String Theory - From Physics to Metaphysics [PDF]
Currently, string theory represents the only advanced approach to a unification of all interactions, including gravity. In spite of the more than thirty years of its existence it did not make any empirically testable predictions.

STRING THEORY LANDSCAPE AND THE STANDARD MODEL OF PARTICLE PHYSICS [PDF]
In this paper we describe ideas about the string landscape, and how to relate it to the physics of the Standard Model of particle physics. First, we give a short status report about heterotic string compactifications. Then we focus on the statistics of D-

String Physics at Low Energies [PDF]
The recent understanding of string theory opens the possibility that the string scale can be as low as a few TeV. The apparent weakness of gravitational interactions can then be accounted by the existence of large internal dimensions, in the submillimeter region.

A new gauge-invariant double copy for heavy-mass effective theory
We propose a new form of the colour-kinematics/double-copy duality for heavy-mass effective field theories, which we apply to construct compact expressions for tree amplitudes with heavy matter particles in Yang-Mills and in gravity to leading order in ...

The Weyl double copy from twistor space
The Weyl double copy is a procedure for relating exact solutions in biadjoint scalar, gauge and gravity theories, and relates fields in spacetime directly.

Supersymmetric domain walls in maximal 6D gauged supergravity I
We find a large class of supersymmetric domain wall solutions from six-dimensional $$N=(2,2)$$ N = ( 2 , 2 ) gauged supergravity with various gauge groups.

The double copy formalism provides an intriguing connection between gauge theories and gravity. It was first demonstrated in the perturbative context of scattering amplitudes but recently the formalism has been applied to exact classical solutions in ...
