String Physics at the LHC [PDF]
The LHC program will include the identification of events with single high-k{sub T} photons as probes of new physics. We show that this channel is uniquely suited to search for experimental evidence of TeV-scale open string theory.

The physics of guitar string vibrations
American Journal of Physics, 2016We describe laboratory experiments to study the harmonic content of standing waves in guitar strings. The experimental data were taken by using the magnetic pickup from a guitar and a digital oscilloscope with a Fast Fourier transform capability.

String Field Theory is a formulation of String Theory as a Quantum Field Theory in target space. It allows to tame the infrared divergences of String Theory and to approach its non-perturbative structure and background independence.

Physical Spectrum of Compactified Strings
Physical Review Letters, 1985The single-particle states of compactified bosonic string theory are classified by a direct product of a fundamental representation of the Heisenberg algebra for the noncompact flat dimensions and an affine-g Lie algebra, where the rank of its Lie subalgebra g is the number of internal dimensions and its identity depends on their length scales.

Observation of string breaking on a (2 + 1)D Rydberg quantum simulator.
NatureLattice gauge theories (LGTs) describe a broad range of phenomena in condensed matter and particle physics. A prominent example is confinement, responsible for bounding quarks inside hadrons such as protons or neutrons1.

STRING FIELD THEORY AND PHYSICAL INTERPRETATION OF D=1 STRINGS
Modern Physics Letters A, 1990We describe a field theoretic formulation for one-dimensional string theory. It is given by the collective field representation of the matrix model and leads to a physical interpretation of the theory as that of a massless scalar field in two dimensions.
