Five-dimensional gauge theory and compactification on a torus [PDF]
We study five-dimensional minimally supersymmetric gauge theory compactified on a torus down to three dimensions, and its embedding into string/M-theory using geometric engineering.

A long‐lived, five‐cell‐type human neurovascular (PENTA) model recreates vascular disorganization and incomplete repair after traumatic brain injury (TBI). By integrating endothelial, glial, neuronal, and immune components within a 3D scaffold, the platform enables time‐resolved analysis of neurovascular remodeling and provides a human‐relevant system ...

On next-to-leading power threshold corrections in Drell-Yan production at N3LO
The cross-section for Drell-Yan production of a vector boson has been previously calculated at next-to-next-to-leading order, supplemented by enhanced logarithmic terms associated with the threshold region.

String theory of supertubes [PDF]
Abstract String theory on AdS 3 backgrounds arises as an IR limit of Little String Theory on NS5-branes. A wide variety of holographic RG flows from the fivebrane theory in the UV to (orbifolds of) AdS 3 in the IR is amenable to exact treatment in worldsheet string theory as a class of null-gauged WZW models.

This study investigates the M13 bacteriophage as a biomimetic nanovector capable of crossing in vitro models of the blood–brain barrier. By exploiting peculiar transcellular pathways, M13 avoids lysosomal degradation and preserves its structural integrity and functionality.

Exotic branes in Exceptional Field Theory: E 7(7) and beyond
In recent years, it has been widely argued that the duality transformations of string and M-theory naturally imply the existence of so-called ‘exotic branes’ — low codimension objects with highly non-perturbative tensions, scaling as g s α for α ≤ −3. We

$$AdS_5$$ A d S 5 vacua and holographic RG flows from 5D $$N=4$$ N = 4 gauged supergravity
We study five-dimensional $$N=4$$ N = 4 gauged supergravity coupled to five vector multiplets with $$SO(2)_D\times SO(3)\times SO(3)$$ S O ( 2 ) D × S O ( 3 ) × S O ( 3 ) gauge group.

A 3D‐printed piezoionic GPMx hydrogel enables stable electromechanical signal generation under mechanical loading, exhibiting long‐term durability and low fatigue. As a bioactive patch, it restores endogenous bioelectricity to stimulate osteogenesis via Ca2+ influx and mitochondrial activation, while simultaneously enabling label‐free alkaline ...

This work addresses spherically symmetric, static black holes in higher-derivative stringy gravity. We focus on the curvature-squared correction to the Einstein-Hilbert action, present in both heterotic and bosonic string theory.

We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...
