RKIP, a metastasis suppressor protein, modulates key oncogenic pathways in lung adenocarcinoma. In silico analyses linked low RKIP expression to poor survival. Functional studies revealed RKIP overexpression reduces tumor aggressiveness and enhances sensitivity to EGFR‐targeted therapies, while its loss promotes resistance.

Subcritical String and Large N QCD
We pursue the possibility of using subcritical string theory in 4 space-time dimensions to establish a string dual for large N QCD. In particular we study the even G-parity sector of the 4 dimensional Neveu-Schwarz dual resonance model as the natural ...

Most autophagic cell death studies lack evidence of causality
Of 104 studies claiming autophagic cell death (ACD), only 13 demonstrated both causality and exclusion of apoptosis to confirm true ACD. Most studies relied on correlation‐level data or measured autophagy in isolation, revealing pervasive methodological shortcomings.

Duality of string amplitudes in a curved background
We initiate a program to study the relationship between the target space, the spectrum and the scattering amplitudes in string theory. We consider scattering amplitudes following from string theory and quantum field theory on a curved target space, which

Sequestering in string theory [PDF]
We study sequestering, a prerequisite for flavor-blind supersymmetry breaking in several high-scale mediation mechanisms, in compactifications of type IIB string theory. We find that although sequestering is typically absent in unwarped backgrounds, strongly warped compactifications do readily sequester.

ABSTRACT Nontraditional students represent a substantial number and significant percentage of students in higher education. While these adult learners have similarities, they also span 50+ years with generational differences. At the same time, online learning is on the rise, offering opportunities and challenges for nontraditional students and those ...

A Comment on the Stability of String Monopoles [PDF]
In recent work a multimonopole solution of heterotic string theory was obtained. The monopoles are noted to be stable, in contrast with analogous solutions of Einstein-Maxwell or Yang-Mills-dilaton theory.

The axolotl's remarkable regenerative abilities decline with age, the causes may include the numerous repetitive elements within its genome. This study uncovers how Ty3 retrotransposons and coexpression networks involving muscle and immune pathways respond to aging and regeneration, suggesting that transposons respond to physiological shifts and may ...

Searching for a Connection Between Matroid Theory and String Theory [PDF]
We make a number of observations about matter-ghost string phase, which may eventually lead to a formal connection between matroid theory and string theory.

In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.
