On higher-derivative effects on the gravitational potential and particle bending

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Using modern amplitude techniques we compute the leading classical and quantum corrections to the gravitational potential between two massive scalars induced by adding cubic terms to Einstein gravity.

String theory and string Newton–Cartan geometry* [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2019
Abstract Nonrelativistic string theory is described by a sigma model with a relativistic worldsheet and a nonrelativistic target spacetime geometry, that is called string Newton–Cartan geometry. In this paper we obtain string Newton–Cartan geometry as a limit of the Riemannian geometry of general relativity with a fluxless two-form ...

String theory

open access: yes, 2015
This article discusses the link between matrix models and string theory, giving emphasis on topological string theory and the Dijkgraaf–Vafa correspondence, along with applications of this correspondence and its generalizations to supersymmetric gauge theory, enumerative geometry, and mirror symmetry.

The subleading eikonal in supergravity theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
In this paper we study the subleading contributions to eikonal scattering in (super)gravity theories with particular emphasis on the role of both elastic and inelastic scattering processes.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Eikonal scattering in Kaluza-Klein gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study eikonal scattering in the context of Kaluza-Klein theory by considering a massless scalar field coupled to Einstein’s gravity in 5D compactified to 4D on a manifold M 4 × S 1.

MagmaFlow: A desktop platform for artificial intelligence‐driven expression analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
MagmaFlow is a free, no‐code platform for gene expression analysis. It generates interactive volcano plots, links genes to literature, pathways, and diseases, prioritizes candidates using millions of publications, identifies affected biological processes, builds network diagrams, and exports publication‐ready figures and reports for macOS and Windows ...

BPS operators in N = 4 $$ \mathcal{N}=4 $$ SO(N) super Yang-Mills theory: plethysms, dominoes and words

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
Permutations and associated algebras allow the construction of half and quarter BPS operators in maximally supersymmetric Yang Mills theory with U(N), SO(N) and Sp(N) gauge groups.

Locality and causality properties of light cone string field theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The recent discovery of a new maximally supersymmetric background for the type IIB superstring theory has revived the interest in light cone string field theory.
