Strip-Till Planting in Dryland Cereal Production

Transactions of the ASAE, 1981
ABSTRACT A strip-till planting system has been developed in which tilling the planting strips, application of fer-tilizers and herbicides, and seeding can be accomplished simultaneously thereby reducing the number of field operations required. Tillage depths of up to 180 mm were achieved using a modified rotary tiller making it possible to plant in ...

Report on strip-till trial for seed crops

This experiment aimed to investigate if the seed yield of radish can be maintained through the use of strip tillage compared with full cultivation. Radish seed crops were established in 50 cm row spacings, assuming 10 cm is required to create a fit for purpose seedbed, 80% of the soil could potentially be left undisturbed.

Multilocation Field Performance of Strip-till Drill on Wheat Crop

Journal of Agricultural Engineering (India), 2001
A tractor drawn strip-till drill has been developed for successful adoption of the minimum till technology by the farmers for sowing wheat under Indian conditions. This machine has been extensively tested at research farms of P.A.U., Ludhiana and at farmers' fields. There is no reduction in yield.
