The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Redesigning Power Strip With Case Study: Security Information Use Of Products [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
There are 212 cases of fire from 2015-2018 that have occurred by electricity failure in Bandung City, those failures happen because of power strip misused by users.

Spatial structure of an incompressible Quantum Hall strip

open access: yes, 1999
The incompressible Quantum Hall strip is sensitive to charging of localized states in the cyclotron gap. We study the effect of localized states by a density functional approach and find electron density and the strip width as a function of the density ...

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

An ESIPT-Based Fluorescent Probe for Aqueous Cu+ Detection through Strip, Nanofiber and Living Cells

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Constructed on the benzothiazole-oxanthracene structure, a fluorescent probe RBg for Cu+ was designed under the ESIPT mechanism and synthesized by incorporating amide bonds as the connecting group and glyoxal as the identifying group.

Heated bimetal strip prevents damage of bearings by vibration [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
Strip of bimetal is shaped as split ring; when properly fabricated from thin sheet, width of strip increases when it is heated. When width of strip increases, outer races are forced apart, thus pressing balls tightly against inner races.

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Study on stress-strain state and deformations occurring in existing roller tables

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2020
The design of a new diverting roller table is presented, containing continuous series of sections with diverting rollers. Using the program product of finite element analysis of Autodesk Inventor, the stress-strain state rollers of the new outrigger ...

Strip-Mode Microwave Staring Correlated Imaging with Self-Calibration of Gain–Phase Errors

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Microwave staring correlated imaging (MSCI) can realize super resolution imaging without the limit of relative motion with the target. However, gain–phase errors generally exist in the multi-transmitter array, which results in imaging model ...
