Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

Performance of footing with single side micro-piles adjacent to slopes
This research was initiated in order to investigate the capability of rigid strip one side micro-piles footings in stabilizing sand slopes. A physical model was designed and constructed for micro-piles footings resting on dense sand.

Siam weed based hydrogel hybrid for tissue engineering [PDF]
Tissue engineered skin grafts have been considered as an auxiliary for replacement of damaged skin due to burns and injury. In previous studies, gelatin hybrid with natural remedy were used in order to create 3D environment for the skin grafts ...

Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...

‘We represent, here, the interests of the free world’:Accountability in Israeli leaders’ media talk on the Gaza Crisis (2008-2009) [PDF]
he Palestinian-Israeli conflict turned into an armed crisis from the 27th of December 2008 to 22nd of January 2009. Instances of such armed conflict make issues of accountability highly pertinent.

Behavior of Strip Footing on Fiber-Reinforced Model Slopes
Laboratory scale model slopes reinforced with waste carpet fibers were made in a rigid tank with dimensions of 800 mm x 300 mm x 500 mm. Bearing capacities of the strip footing rested on non-reinforced and fiber-reinforced model slopes with 1%, 3% and 5% fiber content were compared at 20% footing displacement ratio. The influence of location of footing

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Seismic bearing capacity of strip footing above cavities in rock masses
This paper employs an adaptive finite element limit analysis (AFELA) combined with nonlinear programming (NLP) to investigate the seismic bearing capacity of strip footings overlying cavities in rock masses that obey the generalized Hoek–Brown (GHB ...

Numerical Simulations for the Bearing Capacity of Strip Footings
The aim of this paper is the computation of the failure loads of a rough rigid strip footing subjected to a vertical, inclined or eccentric loading using the finite difference code FLAC3D. For the case of vertical load, controlled downward vertical velocities are applied to the footing nodes until a steady state of plastic flow is obtained in the soil.

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...
